Nope, done it before too… Just wait until its super dry- air dry don’t put a hair dryer on it- it will burn up. Just let it rest for a few days so it’s completely dry.

What’s the model number?
I don’t believe you damaged the filter but, let it dry completely before installing and turning on the unit
