  1. Be careful of the HEPA filters for your whole house. They are called by-pass systems because the return air passes by the opening hoping to be drawn in. A very high efficiency filter system, but very low efficiency engineering. You will want to look at the system that casinos use for smoke and odor control. The Electro Breeze Duct Mount UV kit at http://www.allergy-relief-air-purifier.com/electrostatic_air_purifiers.html. This is the residential version of the same system used in casinos. Very high efficiency (97% down to 0.3 microns) with activated charcoal to help eliminate odors and coupled with an ultra-violet lamp to kill mold and viruses. Very affordable, easy to maintain and easy to install. Good luck!!

  2. I absolutely love my Better Living air purifiers. I own several and use them in my office. I actually liked them so much, I bought a few for my home. They aren’t plastic junk like most others and also offer many different types, including the ionic and hepa filtered air cleaners you are looking for (cherry, walnut, black, etc….). Those happen to be my favorite. Check the website out often, they often run really good specials.

    Good Luck
