What is the difference between an air purifier and a humidifier?

  1. The air purifier actually takes dust and allergens (if you get the right one) out of the air. All a humidifier does is fill the room up with moisture or humidity.

  2. The air purifier would take out more dust and allergens (makes things pure). The air humidifer just adds moisture to the air to help loosen up mucus (adds humidity).

  3. An air Purifier is best for removing Allergens and Dust. A humidifier does one thing, moisten the air.
