  5. The humidifier adds moisture to the air in your home, you need these especially in the winter when the heating in your home dries out the air.An air purifier cleans the air, dust particles and things from your air, these are great for people with allergies.

  6. A humidifier puts moisture into the air. An air purifier removes the impurities floating around in the air (i.e. dust, mold, pollen).

  7. An air purifier removes bad odors, bacteria, dust etc. and may add a little humidity or not. So, it makes smart sense to go for a gadget that can do all the jobs.

  9. purifier cleans the air with some sort of a filter system, or ion collector, etc.
Humidifier adds moisture/ and or other breathing aids into the air, like eucalyptus oil, or menthol, or something prescribed from a doctor for the patient to breathe along with the normal air of the room.

  11. An Air Humidifier takes the moister out of the air. I have two of them in my house. Brilliant machines and normally take half a bucketfull out a day of water. Mind you it is summer over here where I am.

But just as good in the winter because it spreads the air around, so when you come in after work there is no dead cold air hanging around.

Air purifier is just like a smelly thing that sprays lavender etc smells around every so many minutes.

Woops sorry all …… Too late in the morning and I missed the spelling.

I mean a DE HUMIDIFIER …. not a humidifier there is a lot of difference. DE HUMIDIFIER takes the MOISTURE out of the air and bedding and lounge suites, clothing, drys laundry etc etc etc …………… sorry

  15. An air purifier removes particles from the air that increase allergic reactions and lung and nasal irritation. When you look at the air in a room through a stream of sunlight you can see many of these particles. An air humidifier actually adds moisture to the air. An air purifier does not perform this action.
