I was looking at some portable air conditioners and air coolers earlier at stores today and noticed almost all the expensive ones have something called ozone generator or ionizers. The guy at the store simply said it removes smell but I also read somewhere that ozone is harmful to humans at sea level? Is it worth spending 299 for a aircon+ozone generator?
I am quite confuse with air Ionizer & Ozone Generator. What are their similarity & differences. Are they good or bad to human health? Or they just a smell remover. Please some nice heart educate me.

What is the best air purifier for removal of dust and odor? I have been looking at ebay and is almost convinced on buying ecoquest (with hepa, uv, ionizer, and ozone generator). The only thing that still prevents me fom buying this (9) is the ozone generator which can induce asthma. I am an asthmatic. Anyone with a good experience with a VERY GOOD air purifier? I can only afford <0 and does not consume much electricity, with low maintenance. Thanks.
