Which would be valid medical expenses, and what documentation would be needed?:
-Advanced air filtration system (particulates, chemicals, hepa and activated carbon filtration) for allergies & chemical sensitivities
-Vacuum with hepa filter (a far shot, but worth asking)
-Home water filtration systems, shower dechlorinator and tap purifier.
I currently live with a smoker (mother’s boyfriend) who smokes inside the house. I need something to purify the air to get rid of the smoke because 1) I hate the smell and 2) I don’t want it to build up in my lungs. Whats the best type/brand? HEPA, Ionizers? What brands? Thanks.
I’m slightly allergic to maple and dog. But my allergy to dust and mites are so severe, that they were unable to be scaled because they were so high. I use an air purifier, enclosed my mattress, I take Calritin D, Zyrtec, vacuum using wearing a mask (we have an HEPA Hoover), and use a neti pot every day to relieve my symptoms, but it’s not enough. The symptoms bug me everyday and just get worse by the month. If I replace all my 20+ year old carpeting with hard wood flooring, will this make a drastic improvement in my allergies?
He was mad at the beginning when I got the cat because he said he felt left out, and 2nd best because he did not get to be included in picking out the pet but we were broke up at the time. 1 month later he says my kitten makes him very sick, and he has developed bronchitis from his allergies. My daughter and I both have allergies and suffer from asthma, we are o.k. I dust, vacuum daily, and put the cat in another room before he comes in, purchased a 2nd hepa air purifier, use allergen reducer carpet powder, febreze allergen reducer spray, and wash the cat every day. I even offered to buy him Claritin. The cat doesnt shed much or jump on furniture either He told me to get rid of it or hell have to stay away because of his health, my daughter and I love the new kitten so I refuse to give it away am I wrong?
I have 2 large air purifiers in my room and a small one. One is a big HEPA which is rated for a room much bigger than mine and the other is an ionic one that seems to collect some dust. I keep my door closed all the time to keep dust out.
I still notice dust floating in the air when i look at light hitting the air. Are these purifiers even practical? Is it possible to eliminate all of the dust in the air?

Today I even offered to buy him Claritin and buy a cage to go outside to put the kitten in when he comes over he said no b/c he didn’t want to put his health at risk and he broke up with me. What should I do?

My boyfriend has bad allergies and terrible asthama. My roommate has a dog and cat so I think it’s mostly pet dander that ends up bothering him in my room, even though i keep the door closed all day. Does anyone know of a good air purifier that is relatively cheap but good for asthama? I know i have to find one with HEPA, but I’m wanting to spend maximum 150. Thanks all!
