just yesterday I let my 2 cats out for a breath of fresh air. Before I could see what happened a local possum who had been roaming the apartment complex was walking along the way when my oldest cat (6yrs) natural hunter jumped up to quickly confront the possum. I saw the whole thing and the only thing that happened was my cat quickly clawed the possum who saw me to quickly proceed to be very nervous and break up the whole thing very quickly. the possum didnt react what so ever but my cat did bat her one good time on the side of the face area. The only thing I could think of was to apply watterless hand sanitizer using toilet parer on her claws very quickly. Does anyone know if this quick encounter should be concern for rabbies scare? I know that possoms supposedly arnet big carriers for rabbies but about a few months earlier there was a huge raccon roaming the premises which was suddenly replaced by this possum a few months later with no sign of the racoon anymore.
the possum was acting normal except for the fact that I was right up on them to distract any prolonged confrontation but the possum showed no fear whatsoever it was almost like me and my cat who was confronting it were not even there is this normal?

Hi guys…..I am in college and since this semester my new roomate seems to be getting sick pretty often….everytime she gets sick…I get sick….We don’t really have direct contact…Because I rarley stay in the room when she is there…. I spray everything that i own in my room down….Pretty much anything that she touches….I try not to touch anything with my bare hands if i do…i spray it down with lysol and use hand sanitizer…..I’m getting pretty disgusted by her sickness…n e ways…Can I get sick by my being in the room and breathing in the air….?…

These days, we have banned peanut product from schools, asthma inhalers are the latest fashion accessories, and something as simple as smelling the flowers on a beautiful spring day sends one into a hacking, sneezing mess completed with watery eyes and gargled gasps for air.

Snuggle up next to your pet cat or dog, and your tongue swells up to the size of Texas, coupled with lovely red nickel-sized hives that is now spreading all over your arms and legs. Fido means death! Or just a very unpleasant and embarrassing visit to the ER, where old ladies gasp and little kids cry at the very sight of your bloated, ruddy self rushing into the waiting room with your hands around your throat, wheezing out unintelligeble pleas between asphyxiated gasps.

Is it a matter of compromised immunity thanks to our fanatical whip-out-the-hand-sanitizer- every-time-you-touch-a-doorknob ideals that is ever-so-present in today’s society? Are genetics at play? What are your thoughts on this phenemonen?

Last night my boyfriend and I were messing around. I made him put on a spermicidal trojan condom just to be sure the sperm wouldn’t go through his jeans. I went to take the condom off of him and when I did, there was a sticky clear substance that was dripping from the condom. So I held it in the air a minute and a little bit dropped on my thigh and I threw the condom in the floor. Well I got up and put hand sanitizer on my hands and on my wet spot on my leg (it was still wet f
from the sanitizer). And the stuff that got on my hands and leg were foaming. He said he didn’t come but maybe there was some pre-come in there somewhere?

-What landed on my leg was a tiny foaming spot about the size of a dime.
-I’m on birth control and yesterday was the day I was supposed to be ovulating if the birth control didn’t work.
-The condom was spermicidal.
-It never got exactly on my vagina. Just on my leg. I was worried about it swimming up.
-Do you think i would have anything to worry about being pregnant wise?
-Or would the spermicide in the condom kill whatever came out?

Yesterday i had drumline practice from 11-2:30 in the afternoon. when i got there one of the kids said he had been sick the night before. I dont know wat he had. we were in a big caffeteria with a door open to get some cool air in. i was stanging three feet behind him. then we went into a smaller room with two small windows open for fresh air. I did not touch anything he touched accept the door handel wich i used hand sanitizer after touching. what are the chances of me getting it? I am terrified of vomiting i have emetiphobie. i am on meds for it but there not working to well. my dr just changed them again. so pelase help/. its been bugging me alll day. i am very scared i will gfet it. if i get it someone else in drumline would prob get it right? after all three people wer right nest to him the whole time. i was few feet behind him. pleas help. will i get it

like NYC? How do you handle it?

I’m just a very sensitive person health wise and mental wise, but at the same time I’m fast paced/and can handle the pace. But …I have asthma and get prone to being sick, and I’m going to be around much worse air, pollution, people everywhere, more germs, more exposure.

How do I handle that type of an environment, if I have to work/live there, but if I have asthma, and am prone to being sick more, etc?

Should I just up the prevention?

Meaning take more herbals, eat better, drink more water, carry more hand sanitizer?

What else can one do?

You can’t really avoid the bad air, especially during the summer!

Also anxiety wise let’s face it, NYC can be a scary place.More sharks, more competition, more people, more unscertainty, the whole terrorism aspect. Alot of it.

How can someone handle this city mentally and also health wise, and not let it destroy you?

I live in NJ so it’s not that far away and I can handle alot of it, and I can handle NJ, so NYC isn’t really that far away but I want to be careful, because it just seems more dangerous in many ways.

It’s not a very healthy place.

Or is it?

You DO walk more and that’s my fear.

walk more, breathe in worse air, etc.
