Air Purifiers

My 4.5 year old son has dry eczema. What helps the chronic itch?

He’s very itchy & he often gets short tempered from it. He’s allergic to dust mites, pollen, mold, rice, corn, soy, & egg. I bought a Hepa filter vacuum, encased his bedding to keep dust mites away, run air purifiers, change the furnace filter frequently, use fragrance free detergents, run clothes through a second rinse cycle, use no dryer sheets, keep baths tepid & brief, lotion with Eucerin immediately afterward, & have him wear only cotton clothes. I can honestly say NONE of this has made a difference. He starts Kindergarten in the Fall & I worry about him. How can he concentrate if he’s itchy? Keeping my child drugged on Benadryl indefinitely isn’t an option to me. I currently started him on probitotics with his allergists approval & give him 2 tsp. ground Flaxseed in his cereal every morning. I’m now trying Emu oil on him. I spend all my free time searching for answers. Has anyone found relief from dry eczema? Perhaps a Homeopathic Dr. is my next step. Thank you in advance for any help!

Cat that wheezes, any suggestions?

I have a cat who has been wheezing since she was about 4 months old and now she is 3. It may have started when she had a mysterious illness when she was a kitten. The vet never gave me a diagnoses but fluids and antibiotics finally pulled her through. I have recently taken her to two vets, one being a specialist of internal medicine. They have done x-rays which shows what looks like liquid in her lungs and ultrasound which proved it wasn’t heat related. My regular vet said it looked like bronchitis and/or asthma and the specialist said it looked like pneumonia and/or asthma. They gave her Baytril (two weeks) and Prednisone (about a month). They both helped while she was on them a little, but not too much. I do not want to use steroids again though.

I have 3 cats and she is the only one that wheezes. My cats use a corn based litter. They eat mostly Wellness and Instinct dry food but get canned food about every other day. I use all natural cleaners, and all natural fragrance free detergents. I do not use air freshener. I have two HEPA air purifiers in the room she is in. They cover a large enough area that I really only need one for the space she is in, but I have two. I have tried giving her bought raw food, but even when I switch it slowly it gives her bloody stools, which the vet said was from either IBS or Salmonella, and to not give her raw food.

Other then some pretty bad episodes of wheezing she is healthy and at a pretty good weight. It seems to get worse when she is stressed or playing. And she is neg for Aids/Leukemia.

If anyone has any suggestions on what to do or has had a similar experience, I would love to hear your input!

marijuana related rash?

I could be completely clueless, so hear me out lol. yesterday i smoked marijuana for my third time and i right before i went to sleep my hands were really itchy, like really bad between my fingers but mostly on the tops of my hands. I was wondering if this had to do with marijuana? I have alotttt of allergies.. food, detergents, air born irritants, you name it. However, at my workplace.. there’s sanitizer in the water that i wash my hands with (i’ve been working there for a while and it usually causes my knuckles to get red but nothing like this!) so I thought this was what caused it. (ps: i haven’t worked in about 2 or 3 days) So today I went to a pharmacist and he gave me some cream that relieved the redness and itching for about an 2 hours but it keeps coming back.. now my feet are broken out so i guess that rules out the water at work? theres been no real changes in my diet or detergents or anything and i don’t recall this happening the last time i did marijuana. so any suggestions? excuse my poor grammar as well, im in no mood to be proper lol
