I’m looking for something to take care of dust - a dust magnet… We don’t have any alleries but we have plenty of dust…We’ve tried fancy furnace filters, mopping(we’re mainly hardwood& tile) and vaccuming. We have an upright vac that uses bags…Maybe a better vac would help??? Maybe we need to get our ducts cleaned??? At certain times during the day when the sunlight shines through the windows, its amazing and discusting at how much dust there is in our house…Its just two adults, no pets…I’d say we’re pretty clean people…lol. I’ve heard that some purifiers are basically a bunch of crap and others are rediculously espensive. We want something that sucks…the dust…My thought was maybe under 0 and hopefully rotate it around the house every day or so…? 1200 sq ft house plus full finished basement w/ area rugs. Btw, there is no dust in the basement - less activity and only two ducts..& one cold air return duct. Hmm. Anyway, like I said , I just want to get rid of the dust
I’d be will to go 0 as I can see that’s how much an Ionic Breeze costs. I’ll spend good money to get a good product, but I don’t want to get ripped off either.
My room is 13′x11′, so thats roughly 143 sq feet. For some reason, dust just grows in my room–moreso than any other room in the house by at least a factor of 100. And I noticed how quickly my A/C filter gets dusty. What gives?
Anyways, I’d love to hear your own personal experiences dealing with dust, and what you reccomend. I can’t believe I’m breathing all that crap in my lungs.
During a sleepover at my friend’s house, I woke up having to crap sooo badly, So I went to the bathroom, And I didn’t realize the toilet seat was up because it was so dark, of course I fell butt-first in nasty toilet water! I didn’t scream tough, Cause I had to crap. So I wiped myself off and took care of business, But it smelled horried! I got real dizzy and nearly fell in the toilet, But I didn’t. I tried to find a air freshener and accidentally knocked down her dad’s shaving cream!! It made a loud noise, But luckily, No one woke up, After ten mintues of searching, I finally found a air sanitizer, I sprayed it everywhere, And it just made the smell worse! Then, I heard somebody’s door open in the hall, So I quickly put the air freshener down and ran back to my friend’s room, Whoever it was, I guess had to use the bathroom too, Because not so long I heard gagging and coughing, I was soo embarrassed! Now I’m too afriad to show my face outside anymore!!

I love oil burners, scented candles and incents. They give off such lovely scents and I do really like them and enjoy having them lit. However my mum confescated ALL of them off me because she was afraid I was going to burn the house down (fat chance I think, but oh well). Are there any decent scented things out there that are not lit by matches or are flamed?
Don’t say those aerosol air sanitizer things, they smell pretty… crap really, and don’t last or have the same richness.

I live in an apartment here and I am getting sick of all this crap from other people's cooking. It's an older building and they won't look into it.
I read HEPA is a better purifier but I don't know if it would stop smells from coming in my front door… it is shut so don't give me stupid stuff about shut your door, just too old of a building (renovation they are doing doesn't help).
Smells only hit me in the living room/dining room… about 350 sq ft I need to protect from smells.
Will a HEPA do this?
