Anyone with allergies, asthma or bronchitis out there? Which machine do you find better to treat the air with a dehumidifier or an air purifier?
Which one do you have/or have tried?
My whole family has been sick for about close to three weeks now with bronchitis.I have cleaned when my energy has allowed me to (which isn’t much).I want us to get better. We are all on antibiotics and I use a humidifier, hand sanitizer to help apart from the constant hand washing, covering of mouths and tissues used.Today I decided to focus my enegry on my childrens room.I cleaned their room from top to bottom, stripped their bed clean, vacuumed and dusted off whatever I could dust off. Then I went back and blasted everything with lysol. Even the walls.I let it sit for a little bit and then I opened the window to air it out.My question is,do you think I did it right? What else could I do to get rid of the bacteria in the air?I’ve changed the heater filter and cleaned the vents the best I can.Unfortunately this house is the dustiest house I have ever lived in!Anybody have any ideas as to how I can beat the bug?
capricorn lol girl. we have been so sick i wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy!
He was mad at the beginning when I got the cat because he said he felt left out, and 2nd best because he did not get to be included in picking out the pet but we were broke up at the time. 1 month later he says my kitten makes him very sick, and he has developed bronchitis from his allergies. My daughter and I both have allergies and suffer from asthma, we are o.k. I dust, vacuum daily, and put the cat in another room before he comes in, purchased a 2nd hepa air purifier, use allergen reducer carpet powder, febreze allergen reducer spray, and wash the cat every day. I even offered to buy him Claritin. The cat doesnt shed much or jump on furniture either He told me to get rid of it or hell have to stay away because of his health, my daughter and I love the new kitten so I refuse to give it away am I wrong?
I have a cat who has been wheezing since she was about 4 months old and now she is 3. It may have started when she had a mysterious illness when she was a kitten. The vet never gave me a diagnoses but fluids and antibiotics finally pulled her through. I have recently taken her to two vets, one being a specialist of internal medicine. They have done x-rays which shows what looks like liquid in her lungs and ultrasound which proved it wasn’t heat related. My regular vet said it looked like bronchitis and/or asthma and the specialist said it looked like pneumonia and/or asthma. They gave her Baytril (two weeks) and Prednisone (about a month). They both helped while she was on them a little, but not too much. I do not want to use steroids again though.
I have 3 cats and she is the only one that wheezes. My cats use a corn based litter. They eat mostly Wellness and Instinct dry food but get canned food about every other day. I use all natural cleaners, and all natural fragrance free detergents. I do not use air freshener. I have two HEPA air purifiers in the room she is in. They cover a large enough area that I really only need one for the space she is in, but I have two. I have tried giving her bought raw food, but even when I switch it slowly it gives her bloody stools, which the vet said was from either IBS or Salmonella, and to not give her raw food.
Other then some pretty bad episodes of wheezing she is healthy and at a pretty good weight. It seems to get worse when she is stressed or playing. And she is neg for Aids/Leukemia.
If anyone has any suggestions on what to do or has had a similar experience, I would love to hear your input!

What should I do?
