Could you possibly have psoriasis? It often affects the scalp and it tends to wax and wane according to the weather conditions.

If you indeed have eczema, the important thing is to use a good quality cream to keep your skin moist at all times. If you have been cleared of a psoriasis diagnosis, it still might be worth trying coal tar preparations for your scalp and skin.

It sounds like you have been through hell and back trying to figure out what this is. To me from your description it sounds like eczema (but you've been told that before). A idea that probably hasn't been given to you by any on of your doctors is try vinegar as a treatment. You have nothing to lose from trying it seeing how nothing else has worked for you. If your interested read this article on eczema and vinegar.

Sounds like an allergic reaction to me.I have something similar as i can't process my food properly due to illness. so my skin suffers from lack of something. My mother in law had that problem for years and the doctors didn't have a clue. When she died she had cancer throughout and i believe that the two problems were connected in her case

You could be suffering of a liver malfunction, and you should consider a meticulous analysis of your liver function by checking your liver pigments. This could probably be the cause of a weak immune system that put you in your difficult condition.
Your liver malfunction could be the consequence of some food that you are allergic to, like whey, or gluten, or sugars, including splenda or high calorie fructose syrup in different processed foods, or allergy to cheese, and other foods that you should check up with the doctor.

My husband was allergic to chicken meat and broth, while his sisters were allergic to beef. Every time they ingested such food, they had a lot of similar problems, even one week after having that food. A doctor helped them to find out about their condition, and now everything is fine, as they avoid that kind of food.

Consider drinking home prepared vegetable juice and fruit juice every other day. it could help your condition.

I can't believe no one has told you that you may have psoriasis. What you have sounds EXACTLY like psoriasis. If you google remember, the pictures may be different looking then what you have. There are several different types of psoriasis. There is no cure. Yes the tanning bed helps. Season changes affect me too. FLAXSEED oil capsules help. The sun helps. I would think that even if you put on sunscreen and went out for 20 30 min would make a huge difference. Eat right, exercise, stay healthy, and showering daily. This might be just me but there is a self tanning lotion called "hemp" or something like that you can get it at walmart, and for some reason it helps me. I think it may be cuz the first ingredient is water and the second ingredient is coconut oil.
Also when I was pregnant I was 100% free and clear of psoriasis. OMG it was amazing. Which makes me think it may have something to do with the hormones.....I wish I knew more about that. I have had it since 21. I'm 34. I have what they call "mild" but it's not the typical. I have it on my shins, forearms, scalp.
You should look more into psoriasis. It sounds very much like that may be what you have.
Stress will also aggravate it.
As far as keeping it at bay on your scalp, I will come back to my answer and go into detail, but I have to go pick up my son from the gym. I will update my answer before tomorrow....
mmmmmmk well can we see some pictures then??
It's kinda hard if we don't know what it looks like......

The main cause of eczema is overreaction of the immune system. Identifying certain foods, chemicals, etc can be very helpful in battling this disease. I try to avoid soy and milk products which trigger my flare-ups.
After using number of prescription drugs I've turned to the natural treatments.
Now I use serenaskin herbal remedies , which aim at the root of the disease - the immune system, and are steroid-free.
After about 2 weeks of using ointment and spray my skin has been cleared up and now I just continue with eczema extract, which controls the immune system. My skin has been clear for months now.
It is the only treatment I have found that provides me complete relief when I use it as directed.

How I can empathize with you! Had eczema and all the diagnosis' you received since childhood but have been free and clear of itching for almost 13 years now. Ocean water used to help me but eventually nothing helped and I just became worse and worse! My immune system along with other organs just became overloaded with medicines and toxins.

I went to a Naturopathic Doctor (ND) and within 3 months was healed. My liver was toxic, I had parasites, and though I ate pretty well, I ate a lot of sweets and carbs and that made everything worse. Sweets or foods that turn to sugar quickly made the itching 10x worse.

First I did a complete 40 day colon and parasite cleanse. Then we rebuilt my systems and organs with colodial minerals, good vitamins, kelp to support my thyroid (which was causing the scalp to itch and the front of the legs to itch), took Essential Fatty Acids and Omega 3 oils, Evening Primrose oil, switched to all natural soaps and creams, put a filter on my shower head-got mine reasonably from www.waterproducts.com - and no longer use regular toothpastes, deodorants, shampoos, conditioners, or soaps. I buy as much as I can that has organic ingredients that I can read and know what the ingredients are. I use Aloe Vera gel on my skin and Vit E oil that is mixed with almond oil. I still have sensitive skin because that is just me but have clear soft skin and no itching.
