how often are you suppose to change the air filter?

  1. When it needs it. It depends upon the driving conditions. As a general rule, every other oil change. If you do it yourself that’s a good rule to follow unless you live in a dusty climate. If you aren’t sure, every oil change would be a little more expensive but safer.

  2. You should check it with the oil changes. If it Looks like it’s full of debris, then blow it out or replace it. If it gets wet or gets sand in it, replace it.
    It depends a lot on the roads where you live. All city driving means it stays cleaner when compared to someone who drives 10 miles of dirt roads each day.

  3. How often is very subjective; it all depends on your driving conditions. As a general rule of thumb, most manufacturers say to replace it every 15K miles. If you do a lot of stop-and-go driving, or live in a dusty climate, or on a dirt road, you should replace it more often, say at 10K miles.
