Comments on: Does anyone own an Ionic Breeze? If so, does it really work for reducing allergens?

I am usually very sceptical on those things, but let me tell you they do work well and are worth every penny. Plus you don't have any filters to change. Just wipe the grid clean when it gets dirty. My daughter was born with bad allergies and both my husband and I have allergies too. My daughter was allergic to the cat so we thought we would give it a try and put it near her bed in her room. Well within the first night she could actually breathe and didn't wake up to a stuffy nose. So we decided to add another ot the living room with great results. The next thing you knew we had them in 5 rooms. Yes we still get allergies, but they have greatly approved. We have had the same machines for over 5 year now and they haven't broke down or anything. Also changing your filter on your airconditioner every month is a good idea.Just the regualr $3.00 gobbers at Walmart do the trick. No fancy ones needed when you change them that often. I am sold on the Ionic breezes. We tried some others, but they didn't work well and the filters were outrageous prices. We got ours off of Ebay for a lot cheaper. Check into it. I believe they are more than worth it. This is coming from the biggest sceptic in the world. Another thing that I love is my Dyson vacuum. It really does get all the dirt up off the floor.

I dont have one. But if I was to make an educated guess, I would say in princible the Ionic breeze should help, but the help is probably minimal unless the unit is as big as a car for the average size house( which it isn't).

they are very bad if you have animals. They also don't really do much for the air either. Wast of $

I have two of them and I've been using them for the past five years. They really do work well.

They cost about $350.00 each but sometimes Sharper Image has a special on them where you can get 2 for the price of one.

I find they only work for 1 room.

Just a plain old HEPA filter works better than the ionic breeze. You can get them at Home Depot. They are not cheap, but less than the ionic breeze and more helpful. Just make sure it says "HEPA" on it.

I have had one for two years. I think it really does work. And it really is quiet. You just have to clean it often and don't turn it on when the blades are still wet from cleaning it. Other than that it is so easy. And you would be amazed how much junk is in the air. Plus you won't have to buy any filters every however often like those other machines.
