Air Purifiers

Im doing a report on air filtration devices and Im trying to find the market share for HAPA filters, Ozone Filters, Ionic Filter (Ionic Breeze Sharper Image) and overall how large the market is.

i just bought an 0 one but returned it cause someone said that it causes O3 (ozone), which can be harmful to u.

i know ozone is good when far away (like our atmosphere), but can change cells make up and cause cancer if in close proximity. is that true?

My mom had used hers up until 6 months ago when she heard reports that it might be unsafe. She wasn’t experiencing any negative symptoms. In fact, it helped her respiratory condition. The IB commercials have also haven’t been airing on TV. Is there any truth to the rumors? She stopped using it for fear she might become sick. She almost died of pnumonia. Now she’s back to where she was sneezing and congested all the time.

I saw a fly go in there and it didn’t come back out.

I’d be happy to hear if they really purify the air being it smoke filled air (cigarettes) or otherwise. What brands can you recommend for good purification of inside air?

I cleaned what was a normal functioning ionic breeze and now when i plug it back in the cleaning indicator light will not turn off. It will not filter air through it. Has anyone been able to resolve this problem. I have read a TON of not helpful info regarding class action suits and bankruptcies of sharper image but dont really care about any of that I just want it to work again. I have it is to late to do anything about it CAN SOMEONE HELP me. Is there a fuse or something that needs replacing. I have tried to hold the power button down for 30 seconds to reset? the machine but that did not work Please help
