Air Purifiers

i can not tell if it does anything. i sill fell the same

I have an air purifer and wondering if the ionizer is bad to have running all the time?

I have mild asthma and just wondering what would be more beneficial. I also have a computer which can make the room really hot at times.

Some details:

I’m a chronic allergy sufferer, in my 20s, and I finally went on Amazon and bought one of Honeywell’s affordable HEPA air filters. It comes with an "Ionizer" feature, which I didn’t know too much about, so I went on Yahoo! answers and the web to research.

Now I know that it ionizes air particles so they a) drop to the ground and/or b) become easier for the air filter to pick up. Seems like a good feature to me. Although, some internet sources suggested that ionizers could be useless and/or potentially harmful.

Either way, if I now want to use my "Ionizer" feature, should I be leaving it on all the time? I already leave the HEPA on all the time, set on the lowest setting (anything louder would be unbearable when I sleep, but the lowest setting is just about right).

I just bought that, and it says it has an Ionizer in this. I read about Ionizers and it releases bad Ozones into the area that can cause chest pains, Does HEPA filters prevent that from happening? or do I turn the Ionizer off? or just leave it on and turn it off when I am not in the room?

Whenever I get home, I love to open up all of the windows to let in fresh air. Whenever my hubby gets home, he closes everything and turns on the air filters (with ionizers) that we have in each room. I feel like I get a headache and stuffed up nose with them on all the time. He thinks I’m crazy. I would like to know what is better for us to breathe.

My whole house turned BLACK. Had to move out. I have been so sick-two months ago. Can any one help me to find other people that this has happened to. Help!!! I bought my first one and had it happen in three days - it just threw out a little black and just quit working-I took it back and exchanged for a new won thinking I got just a bad one.I need help finding other people that this has happened to-I can’t be the only one.I need to find out a way to get this to as many people as possible. I am not to good at using the computer. Please Help

No matter how I’m feeling, as soon as I get into my house I start to feel tired and run down. Would an air purifier or ionizer help with this problem? And what is the difference between the two?
