not sure an ionizer will really help you. Like stated before, check with your doctor. I have look at ionizers at sharper and they don’t really clean the air like the honeywell air purifiers do. Ionizers seem like they could work in theory but the desktop one I had from them that cost $100 just made the room smell different. Not until I got my air purifier did I feel a much of a difference in air quality. My sharper fan has a ion feature and I don’t think it does anything except show you it’s on. wasted feature.

Although commercial ionizers have good features.Your doctor may have better advise.

I don’t think you need a Sharper Image ion generator. They are expensive, and have NO air circulation. (Contrary to what they say). A small amount of negative ions supposedly makes you feel good. A large amount, NOT good for you. You may want something like HEPA air purification.!! Consult a Physician. (You get plenty of negative ions in a good shower.!!! Also, the humid, steamy air is good for you.)
