I would be cautious of candle warmers....candles were designed to burn down. If there is an air bubble in the candle, the candle could actually pop.

I am not sure what part of the world you are in, so I can suggest a product that you can find at a local Bath and Body Works Store in the United States. They are called Wallflowers and have many different fragrances to choose from in order to satisfy your fragrance needs. They plug into the wall so you don't have any open flame.

Also there are some different types of reed diffusers out there that are come in many different scents. Whenever the fragrance is starting to dissipate, simply flip the reeds over and the end that was once in the oil is now in the air to create the environment you were looking to create.

Would she approve of a candle warmer? They cost under $10 and you place unlit candles on them and they heat up and send out the fragrance. I have accidently left mine on all day and it was fine. just don't bump it and spill the wax!

There is potpourri, wall plug-ins, battery wall mounts (that spray every 10 minutes), and if you want a spray...get the concentrated sprays. They last much longer. I get mine at bath and body works.

I use a melt warmer that runs off a 40 watt lightbulb, no flame, minimum heat. The melts I use are all natural, veggie based wax that is cooler burning and clean up with hot soap and water in the event of a spill. Visit my website www.mycandlefarm.com formore information.

There are other alternatives. We make and sell air fresheners using scents and polymer beads that are made into shapes they last 3-4 months and can be hung in a room or a sunny window.

Potpourri is another idea.

Scented rosehips are another way to make the room smell better. You can refresh them with scented oil.

We also make wax dipped animals that are air fresheners. Wax dipped animals are quality plush toys that are dipped in the same scented wax that we use for some our candles. You don't burn them, but you set them out and the heat from the room gives off the scent. They will last for 4-6 months, depending on the temperature of the room. When you can't smell them anymore, you use a blow dryer to warm up the animal. We have sold over 15,000 of these over the past 4 years with very few problems.

By the way, we also sell wax dipped toilet paper. Its the same concept except for your bathroom.

Present some of these ideas to your Mom. You can check out our website at http://www.gbccc.com.
