I have neighbors that excessively use pesticides on their lawn. Being concerned that some of these poisons might be permeated into my home, I purchased the 5000 series Vocarb from AllerAir to set in my bedroom. It has..
Filtration System: Vocarb Carbon, Micro HEPA, Prodense Pre-filter
Carbon Filter: 18 lbs Vocarb, 2.5" Depth
The page for it can be found here.

Will this filter suck all of the pesticides out of the indoor air, or is even it not enough? I also have a Spider Plant, Golden Pothos plant, and Bamboo plant in my room. With the plants working in conjuction with the air filter, should there be no measurable level of pesticide residue in my room that might be inhaled?
We have 2 animals, and lots of dust and animal hair in the air. Is there an air purifier or any other type of device that takes out the dust and hair?
My Mother-in-law has a boyfrined who has major OCD, it’s to the point where its not only effecting his life in negative ways but it’s also effecting her life. She is so wrapped up in not upsetting him and trying to make sure things are exactly the way he needs them to be that her world is getting smaller and smaller and it’s effected her relationship with her children and her grandchildren.
Her boyfriend’s OCD manifests it’s self in the form of obsessing over his cars, servicing his 3 cars and my mother-in-law’s car over and over again. He compulsively has to check the cars during the day and even in the middle of the night, it’s to the point that he can not hold down a job. He is also obsessed with germs, and conspiracy theories about the following: Mad Cow disease, chemical warfare, GMOs, and Bacteria created by the government. (super germs) This has gotten to the point that he will not eat my cooking because he believes I have too much red meat in my diet and therefore have Madcow disease.
Sadly all of the above has made my mother-in-law’s life hard, on her birthday we tried to go out for a "ladies nightout" thing and he called her every 15mins reminding her to use had sanitizer and use only paper and plastic cups because glasses at bars can be contaminated.
After that night he made her sleep on an air mattress for 4 weeks because he thought she might have brought something home, the problem is she goes along with it, and she does this all the time.
What is the best way to go about an intervention for her, how can we help her get out of this relationship and heal so that she does not get into another just like it? Please provide links if you can, thanks!
She has come to us for help, and she had confided in us that she feels trapped and she even left once but she feels guilty and always goes back.
I agree therapy is needed
I own a mitsubishi lancer 2003, if i put an air filter or pod filter will that increase my kw? if so by how much?
I never dated any men that smoked because it is absolutely disgusting.
Well now unfortunately I have fallen in love with a smoker and we live together. He is not considerate enough to go outside and smoke so Im stuck sitting next to him when hes smoking and its constantly coming in my face. I’m also constantly spraying with every air freshener known to man.
So we were thinking of air purifiers or something of the sort. Any recommendations? and please don’t say break up with him or have a talk with him about smoking. Been there done that!
thanks!

I just got an air purifier and was wondering how often and how long should you run the air purifier. My room is 10 x 13 sq ft by the way. Thanks.
I’ve burned too many candles all day everyday, and now I have respiratory problems. I went to the Sharper Image website, but I know nothing about ionizers/ air purification systems.
I had just gotten a flameless scented candle and really love it. I also have an air filter in my room. The one where it’s certain metal that attract ions and the dust sticks to it, thus filtering the air.
I was wondering, if I have both of those on at the same time, will it filter out the good scent or will it pass through?
